In a house full of clean modern lines and sumptuously detailed walnut built-ins, this kitchen serves as the focal point and anchor. Custom designed and fabricated in-house this shrine to organization and the client’s keen design sense was a labor of love. The massive island was designed to look like a solid block of walnut that we carved away in sections to reveal the sleek white surfaces within. Its heft and rich bold colors serve to highlight the monolithic reflective white cabinetry surrounding it. Functionally, this kitchen is an appliance unto itself. Every drawer, pullout and custom niche is exactly where it should be. Everything has its place right in the work area in which it belongs.
